Therapy Rates: Accessibility & Sustainability
This is my full fee for clients with financial resources, stable income, or insurance that reimburses well. If you can comfortably afford this rate, choosing it helps me maintain reduced-fee slots for others.
This 30% discount is for clients experiencing moderate financial constraints—graduate students, early-career professionals, single-income households, or anyone for whom $200 would stretch their budget significantly.
This 45% discount is for clients facing significant financial hardship—unemployment, underemployment, fixed income, disability benefits, or living near or below the poverty line. I maintain 3-4 equity slots in my practice.
*Currently full. If you need this rate, please contact me and I’ll provide referrals to other affordable therapy options or, if you prefer, we can discuss joining a waitlist.
How to choose your rate:
I trust you to assess honestly which rate reflects your financial reality. During our consultation call, we’ll discuss which tier is the right fit. Please be mindful that reduced rates are limited and reserved for those who genuinely cannot afford standard fees.
My practice serves many queer folx, people of color, and others that face systemic economic barriers. This tiered structure allows me to remain accessible while sustaining my practice long-term.
Insurance & Superbills
In-Network Insurance:
I am currently in-network with Aetna.
Out-of-Network Benefits:
If you have PPO insurance with out-of-network benefits, I can provide detailed superbills for you to submit for reimbursement. Many clients receive 50-80% reimbursement, making your out-of-pocket cost comparable to or less than my sliding scale rates.
Important: You cannot combine insurance and sliding scale rates. If you’re using insurance (in-network or out-of-network), the session rate is $200, and your insurance will reimburse according to your benefits.
Not sure about your benefits? I’m happy to help you understand your out-of-network coverage during our consultation call.
Cancellation Policy
I request at least 24 hours advance notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
Late Cancellation Fee: Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice, or missed appointments without notification, will incur a $75 administrative fee. This fee applies to all clients and is not covered by insurance.
Emergencies: I understand that genuine emergencies happen. Fees may be waived for medical emergencies, family crises, severe weather, or other unavoidable circumstances. Please contact me as soon as possible.
First-Time Courtesy: As a one-time courtesy, I typically waive the fee for your first late cancellation.
How to Cancel: Text, call, email, or use the client portal – whichever is easiest for you.
