Frequently
Asked Questions

At Mosaic Bloom Counseling, our name represents the journey of healing and growth that happens through trauma therapy.

A mosaic is created by bringing many broken, fragmented pieces together to form a beautiful work of art. Similarly, we believe that each piece of your story – no matter how painful – has value and deserves compassion. By processing trauma and integrating experiences, you can transform your mosaic into a masterpiece.

A bloom refers to the flowering that happens when a seed is nurtured. Just as a flower blossoms under the right care, we provide a safe space for you to rediscover your inner radiance. As you heal, you will start to bloom into the person you were always meant to be.

Our name is a reminder that with support, empathy and time, the scattered pieces of your life can come together to create something more wonderful than you imagined. Your mosaic has beauty waiting to emerge.

Therapy has been scientifically proven to help people overcome traumatic events, process emotions, reduce anxiety, and improve overall well being. Having a compassionate, non-judgemental space to open up allows you to fully express and understand your feelings. You can process painful memories, gain coping strategies, and integrate experiences into a coherent narrative. Together we’ll identify patterns, work through deep-rooted pain, and find acceptance and peace.

I specialize in trauma-focused therapy using EMDR and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help clients heal from complex trauma, PTSD, childhood abuse, assault, grief, and loss.

I also work with anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, and identity exploration. As an anti-racist, gender-affirming therapist, I’m experienced in supporting LGBTQ+ clients, BIPOC individuals, and anyone navigating the intersection of identity and mental health.

My approach recognizes that race, gender, sexuality, and class impact how society supports or harms specific groups, which directly affects mental wellness. Every client receives care tailored to their unique experiences and needs.

Her passion is guiding people through trauma recovery while honoring their unique identities and experiences.

A free 30-minute consultation is an opportunity to get acquainted, ensure we are a good fit, and have your initial questions answered. We’ll review your current challenges, trauma history, and goals. I’ll explain my approach to trauma therapy and modalities I typically utilize. This helps determine if we would work well together before committing to the full therapeutic process. There’s no obligation to move forward after the consultation.

Individual therapy sessions are typically 45-60 minutes.

We understand that accessing quality mental health care should be as smooth as possible.  Mosaic Bloom Counseling is currently an in-network provider with Aetna insurance.

Check with your insurance company about their out-of-network mental health benefits, as many plans offer partial reimbursement for services. Mosaic Bloom is here to support you in this process and help make your therapeutic journey as accessible as possible.
